Red Jacket - BlueSky Health Events Calendar
The Red Jacket - BlueSky Health Racing Team is a community-based organization comprised of members of diverse interests and backgrounds. For that reason, we have developed a calendar that highlights regional events throughout the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, along with a comprehensive listing of local events. It is our intention to provide a calendar that is easy to use not only for those looking to race throughout the region, but for those wishing to participate in local events in the Upper Peninsula, especially in the Keweenaw and Marquette areas. To facilitate this, the calendar has been color coded and a key provided. Adding Events If you know of an event you would like to see added to this calendar, send an email to "events AT redjacketcycling DOT com". Calendar Tutorial ![]() Figure 1. The numbered items shown above are outlined below. 1. Clicking on the "today" button will take you to the calendar containing today's date (see Figure 1). 2. The arrow buttons will allow you to navigate from one month to another (see Figure 1). 3. This drop-down menu indicates the month you are looking at and allows you to choose another month to view (see Figure 1). Clicking on a date of the preferred month will take you to that month (see Figure 2). ![]() Figure 2 4. Allows you to print the calendar (see Figure 1). 5. Takes you to the "Week" view of the calendar (see Figures 1 and 3): ![]() Figure 3 None of the events listed on the Red Jacket - BlueSky Health calendar will be listed in time slots on this view due to visibility problems with calendar time-designated events. The darker color "Week" tab in Figure 3, above, indicates that you are in the "Week" view. Clicking on an event will produce a pop-up box with more information (see Figure 4). ![]() Figure 4 For more information, click on "more details" in the lower left-hand corner of this pop-up box (see item 15, below). Click on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of this pop-up box to close it. 6. Takes you to the "Month" view of the calendar (see Figure 1). The darker color of this tab indicates that this is what you are currently viewing. Clicking on an event will bring up a pop-up box giving more information (see Figure 5). ![]() Figure 5 For more information, click on "more details" (see item 15, below) in the lower left-hand corner of this pop-up box (see Figure 5). Click on the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of this pop-up box to close it. 7. The Agenda lists all events on the calendar (see Figure 6). You may scroll through the events like scrolling through an email. All events are color coded and can be clicked on for more information. ![]() Figure 6 Clicking on an event will provide information pertaining to that event as in Figure 7, below. ![]() Figure 7 For more information, click on "more details" in this box (see item 15, below). 8. Clicking on this arrow will bring up a drop-down menu that will allow you to turn on/off various types of events (see Figure 8). ![]() Figure 8 Removing the arrows from any of the boxes will remove those types of events from the calendar. In the example below (Figure 9), I deselected "MTB Races (non-UP)", "Road Races (non-UP)", and "UP Races" to see non-racing events only. Clicking on the empty boxes will add those events. ![]() Figure 9 9. The calendar week starts with Monday (see Figure 1). This allows multi-day events (Friday through Sunday, for example) to appear as one listing. ![]() Figure 10 10. This indicates that there are more events that are not shown on the calendar. Clicking on this link will pop-up a box showing all events for that day (see 11 and 12 in Figures 1 & 10). 11. Clicking on this "X" will close the multiple event box resulting in the link discussed in 10 (see Figures 1 & 10). 12. Multi-day events are indicated by a white arrow. A white arrow to the left indicates the event is also on the previous day. A white arrow to the right indicates the event is also on the following day (see Figures 1 & 10). 13. The Google Calendar button will allow the calendar administrator to edit the calendar. All other users will receive an error message (see Figure 10). 14. Color key indicating the type of events listed (see Figures 1 & 10). Using the key, one will see that the tan events listed below (see Figure 11) are mountain bike races outside of the Upper Peninsula, the red event is a Red Jacket - BlueSky Health team event, and the orange event is an Upper Peninsula race. ![]() Figure 11 15. Clicking on "More Details" in the event description in any view (Week, Month, Agenda) will open a new page with more complete details pertaining to the event chosen. This page allows you the opportunity to discuss this event. To ensure that your comments are received, we strongly advise that you keep all discussions in the Red Jacket - BlueSky Health Forum. ![]() Figure 12 If you have questions that could not be answered by this tutorial, please email Diane at "events AT redjacketcycling DOT com".
