It’s funny how a perfectly mundane task can make your day. I checked my email, as I do several times per day, and found that I received a Pure Michigan Photo Contest email regarding the top 25 entries for the Winter Photo Contest. The interesting thing is that I don’t normally get these unsolicited emails because I guard my personal email account for dear life.
I couldn’t understand why this was being sent to me, so I decided to click on a link and see what was going on.
Imagine my surprise when I found not one, not two, but THREE of my photos in the top 25! I really don’t think they’re my best work, but someone out there appreciated them enough to submit them on my behalf. You see, I didn’t enter this contest, but someone who knows me, and who has my email address, entered my photos.
So, you’re probably wondering which photos were entered? Here they are:

HI Diane,
I stumbled across your blog doing a search on the press we’ve received for the contest. I’m very upset that this has happened! Do you have any idea who would have entered your photos? Our contest rules specifically state that the images submitted must have been made by the person entering. I’ve checked and they were entered under your name.
Please let me know how you’d like me to proceed. I am happy to delete them from our database.
