Actually, Justin, the organization reached a point where it needed to go through a growth spurt to succeed, and we also realized that we had a lot to do to bring the organization into compliance with current laws. It really wasn't doing "just fine." We also couldn't afford to keep an executive director, especially since a lobbyist was needed. The organization HAD TO GROW. MUCH easier said than done. This is where IMBA comes in.

Now, the MMBA can concentrate on statewide advocacy issues rather than IRS compliance, sexual misconduct policies, insurance for everything, and other little compliance measures that swamped the board over the last three or four years.

The MMBA has been completely run into the ground over the last 3 or 4 years. It's amazing how successful the organization was back in 2005. Then Nick and crew got involved and burnt the whole place down. What a joke.

I have to be in the same boat as you on this one! In my opinion we have run into the show people and the complainers. By show people I mean the ones that just show up and try to look good at evey event. They kinda go together with the complainers, the ones that nothing is good enuff for. I was hopeing for the rider people to take a stand but it looks like a big truck just hit them standing by the sidelines. Hang in there Di I personaly think your work is realy great and all the negitive coments don't hold water with the real people that ride. SO,,,,, shut up and eat some turky( have a great holiday)
