Thanksgiving Morning Ride at PLRA

By Diane Ursu

Thanksgiving morning started off perfectly! I drove to the Pontiac Lake Recreation Area where I joined a huge group of people for an annual turkey day ride. Robert Herriman took the group photo at the beginning of the ride. Check out his blog post to see this impressive group.

Jon Rose was kind enough to let me borrow his Gary Fisher 29er. Of course, this bike was one hell of a challenge because it felt pretty weird, and abused. Either way, I was pretty darn happy to be riding.

I took a few pictures of my own.

All of these people are faster than I!

These nice folks needed some help.

The Michigan Mountain Bike Patrolman is working!!! ;-)

Look at these nice people. You can’t trust the guy on the left, though.

I told ya so. :-?

Jon documenting me documenting him.

Apparently, Jon had something disagreeable for breakfast and could not control…um…just look at the picture of the nice people, above, to get this image out of your head. That poor man in the Kenda jersey looks like he’s gonna cry.
