Durand Union Station
The Durand Depot was built in 1903 and later rebuilt in 1905 following a fire. More than 100 years later, it serves as an Amtrak stop between Port Huron and Chicago. Of course, I had to stop and take a gander while I was doing my bicycle tour of Durand.

The clouds parted over Stony Creek Metropark bringing the rain to a halt over this great Southeast Michigan trail. I headed to the trailhead with Jon Rose of Knobby Tire Tours to witness Jon’s hard work as a tour guide. The following is a photo essay.

Crusty snow alongside the frozen Copper Harbor.
Snowshoe tracks on the east end of the harbor.
