2009 Ore to Shore Protest Dinner – The Jeff Kirlin Experience

I was very excited to go to Ore to Shore, this year. I always look forward to having dinner with my friends from the Lower Peninsula. This year, we went to Aubree’s in Marquette, [star date] Friday, August 7. I sent the invitation for this event via Facebook. The funny thing is that Facebook requires you to categorize your “event,” so I went with “Protest.” I thought it worked. An interesting topic came up during our “protest” dinner: Jeff Kirlin. Facebook Will Never Be the Same

So many people have asked me to join Facebook. “You should join! It’s really cool!” Amanda even went as far as to tell me that my own brother was one of her Facebook friends. That’s kind of weird. Well, I’m sure some of you will be happy to know that I’ve just signed up for a Facebook account. Unfortunately, Facebook will not allow me to truly personalize my account. For example, it won’t allow me to write “The Keweenaw” in the hometown field in my personal profile. What gives!? Do I really want all these freaky Facebook people knowing where I live?
